The “Rosenkavalier” and “La Damnation de Faust” at the Easter Festival in Baden-Baden

With Richard Strauss’ Rosenkavalier and Hector Berlioz’ La Damnation de Faust, the 2015 Easter Festival in Baden-Baden featured brilliantly orchestrated music drama works. In Berlioz’ setting of Goethe, the mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato was singled out for particular praise.

As every year there will again be many “Suitcase concerts” with musicians from our orchestra in various social facilities throughout Baden-Baden. In these short concerts the musicians introduce themselves, their instruments and their favourite tunes to their public. The first of these concerts took place in the Oberlin Kindergarten. Eva-Maria Tomasi and Alessandro Cappone met a very engaged young audience.
