The Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle at the Elbphilharmonie

On 7 May 2017, the Berliner Philharmoniker performed for the first time in the recently spectacularly opened Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. The acoustics of the new hall were tested out with Bruckner’s powerful Eighth Symphony.
