Arrival in London and visit to the BBC

Our London visit started with the traditional appearance at "In tune" on BBC Radio 3. This time 1st concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley and cellist Stephan Koncz played on the show. As we had a big delay from Zurich, we had to go directly from the airport to the studio and just made it in time! Stephan even played on a rented cello (thank you Donagh!). Host Sean Rafferty was impressed by the wide range of repertoire from Bach to Klezmer.

Prelude in Berlin with a Benefit Concert in aid of the reconstruction of the Berliner Schloss

As a prelude to our festival tour we played under the baton of chief conductor designate Kirill Petrenko a Benefit Concert in aid of the reconstruction of the Berliner Schloss. Here the Humboldtforum will find its home as a place of cultural diversity and encounter. We are happy to support this idea! In front of 1500 very generous donors we performed works by Richard Strauss and Ludwig van Beethoven.
