European tour with Haydn’s “Creation”

At the start of the 2017 season, Simon Rattle toured with the orchestra to Salzburg, Lucerne and Paris. The programme: Haydn’s oratorio The Creation and a concert with Shostakovich’s first and last symphonies.

After the world premiere in Berlin we played the Austrian premiere of Georg Friedrich Haas’ “ein kleines symphonisches Gedicht” yesterday evening in Salzburg. The main work of the concert was Haydn’s “Creation”.
