Easter Festival in Baden-Baden with Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde”
At the 2016 Easter Festival in Baden-Baden, Sir Simon Rattle conducted a work by Richard Wagner for the first time. The title roles in his tragic love story Tristan and Isolde were sung to much acclaim by Stuart Skelton and Eva-Maria Westbroek.

First rehearsal with Manfred Honeck, who stepped in on short notice for Yannick Nezet-Seguin. We are very thankful that Mr. Honeck was able to take over without changes and wish Yannick a speedy recovery!
One of our “Suitcase”-concerts took place at the “Arche Noah” kindergarten in Lichtental yesterday. The young public was as international as the two violinists Dorian Xhoxhi and Alvaro Parra from our 1st violin section.

We’re ready! Our fourth Easter Festival in Baden-Baden is going to start on 19th March. We’ve arrived safely - and so did our boxes. The staged rehearsals with orchestra start today, we look forward to playing in the pit again!
