Asia tour with Gustavo Dudamel

After the traditional kick-off concert in Frankfurt/Main, our big Asia tour this year sees the orchestra playing in Bangkok, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Shenzhen, Xi'an and Beijing. Besides Taipei and Beijing all concerts are debuts in the respective cities. We are extremely happy, that Gustavo Dudamel, with whom we are already celebrating 10 years as guest conductor, joins us on this tour. We perform works by Bernstein (with soprano Tamara Mumford), Shostakovich, Mahler and Mozart (with pianist Lang Lang).

The temple with the Dragonfish

An old tale in China: If a fish manages to jump over a high wave against the stream, he will become a dragon. So if you want to become a dragon, you should aim to overcome obstacles.

Bells up Bangkok!

The Berlin Phil Horns receive a wonderful welcome to Thailand on the Berliner Philharmoniker tour of Asia 2018!

First they were invited to play on the roof of the Peninsula Hotel with the Horn Pure Ensemble, who are all horn students at the College of Music of the Mahidol University. Then they were taken by boat to join a flash mob with 100 other Thai horn players at Santichaiprakarn Park. A great day was had by all. Bells Up Bangkok!
