Master concerts IX & X

The Brass Ensemble of the Berliner Philharmoniker is one of its longest-standing chamber music groups. On 14 April, in the sold-out St. Bernhard Church in Baden-Baden, they performed a colourful programme with works by Carl Maria von Weber, Kurt Weill, Claude Debussy and Dimitri Shostakovich. We were allowed to record a musical fragment for you at their dress rehearsal.

From left to right: Tamás Velenczei, Andre Schoch, Lennard Czakaj (member of the Karajan Academy), Guillaume Jehl , Matthias Seitz (member of the Karajan Academy), Andrej Žust, Alexander von Puttkamer, Thomas Leyendecker, Susann Ziegler (DSO), Jesper Busk Sørensen, Christhard Gössling, Olaf Ott.

On 15 April we returned to the Weinbrenner Hall of the Kurhaus Baden-Baden for Master Concert X with Emmanuel Pahud, Wenzel Fuchs, Stefan Dohr, Stefan Schweigert and Özgür Aydin. They played works by Mikhail Glinka and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
