2023/24

“Heroes” – and heroines – are the thematic focus of this season, which chief conductor Kirill Petrenko launches with Strauss’s Heldenleben. Naturally, the season would not be complete without Beethoven’s Eroica, here conducted by Herbert Blomstedt. Lisa Batiashvili joins the Philharmoniker as Artist in Residence, and Composer in Residence Jörg Widmann displays his artistic versatility.
