The 2023/24 season
“Love, music, passion, intrigue, heroism – these are the things that make life worthwhile.” With this quotation from Stendhal, we welcome you to the Berliner Philharmoniker’s new season, which we present to you here in all its many facets. And we have a great deal in store for you! This season, our thematic focus Heroes tells stories of real and mythological heroes and heroines. In view of their imperturbability, two jubilarians also appear as artistic heroes, whom we honour with further focal points: Arnold Schönberg on his 150th birthday and Anton Bruckner on his 200th birthday. We are also very much looking forward to working with Composer in Residence Jörg Widmann and Artist in Residence Lisa Batiashvili.
We hope you enjoy exploring the new season!
