The YouTube Symphony Orchestra is one of the most exciting classical music projects on the Internet. Young musicians from all over the world went through a demanding selection process by video in order to come together to play at this concert in the Sydney Opera House this Sunday. The concert will be broadcast live and free of charge on YouTube.
The Berliner Philharmoniker have been supporters of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra right from the very start. They produced video masterclasses to help applicants prepare for their auditions and were also involved in the selection of musicians. Berliner Philharmoniker horn player Sarah Willis went to Sydney for the rehearsals just a few days ago to help prepare the horn section for the big day.
The concert will be broadcast at www.youtube.com/symphony on Sunday 20 March at 8 pm local time.
