Swing Symphony Work commissioned jointly by the Stiftung Berliner Philharmoniker, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and the Barbican Centre, London
This year’s dance project in the arena will be based on the acclaimed jazz musician Wynton Marsalis’s new composition for the Berliner Philharmoniker. Once again members of the Berlin public are given the opportunity to experience the joy of dance in a unique performance together with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker. Wynton Marsalis will also be taking part.
