Once again this season, school orchestras have the opportunity to rehearse an orchestral piece of their choice at school, then present it in the Philharmonie. In addition, musicians of the Berliner Philharmoniker will rehearse an orchestral work selected by the Education Department with the young musicians in advance. The highlight of the School Orchestra Extravaganza is working together with Sir Simon Rattle and the joint performance of the orchestral work on the day in the main concert hall of the Philharmonie.
