The creative projects pick up the orchestral repertoire and enable varied ways of access to the world of classical music. How this is achieved is diverse, and thus the projects display the entire range of possibilities to approaching classical music in a creative and interdisciplinary way. Whether in compositions of their own or by coming to terms with other artistic forms: participants discover their own expressive potential. This project for Berlin grammar schools centres on the Gurre-Lieder by Arnold Schoenberg in all its many-layered complexity. Elements of the piece will be developed in a literary, staged or musical fashion together with musicians from the orchestra – Matthew Hunter and Dorian Xhoxhi.
