MusicTANZ, MusicCHOR, SONGS — Carmina Burana


Carl Orff's Carmina Burana is based on medieval texts dealing with happiness, intoxication, gluttony, hedonism, love and the inescapable wheel of fortune. 200 youthful dancers develop a choreography unter the direction of Royston Maldoom, simultaneously schoolchildren prepare choral passages in the work for performance together with Rundfunkchor Berlin. The climax comes when all perform the piece together with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Sir Simon Rattle's baton
