The Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle are celebrating “10 Years of Education” and invite you to join the party! Enjoy a fun day out in the Philharmonie.

“10 Years of Education” – Join the party! The highlight of the day are two performances of Igor Stravinskyʼs “Le Sacre du printemps” and Benjamin Britten‘s “Noyeʼs Fludde” under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle.

In co-operation with the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus and the Deutsche Bank Foundation’s Academy Opera Today, a new Magic Flute for children will be created in Baden-Baden. A creative project for the next generation, exploring exciting new paths.

Based on Claude Debussy’s orchestral piece “Jeux”, children from Berlin high schools explore sound and its transition to colour and form in a series of painting and music workshops

Auf Grundlage der Musik, die im Familienkonzert des Philharmonischen Capriccio erklingt, setzen sich die Teilnehmer mit dem Phänomen »Kammermusik« auseinander.

In this project from the Berliner Philharmoniker's education programme, Martin Stegner and Rose Calheiros, together with students from Berlin schools, ask the question “opera and jazz - how does that work?”

Young dancers will, during intensive weeks of rehearsal with the renowned Sasha Waltz & Guests, be introduced to the drama and opera "Carmen".

In this project inspired by the opera “Carmen“ school students will create their own compositions and dances.
