MusicTANZ – Ionisation

Music and games, games and dance: Edgard Varèse’s Ionisation for 13 percussionists forms the basis for the first project of the season. Students from schools in Berlin developed sounds, dance movements and musical forms as the foundation for various improvisatory sketches. Together with the musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic, the students performed these sketches using the architecture of the Philharmonie as additional inspiration.
