MusicART – The Shadow of Night

Not only the orchestral piece The Shadow of Night by Sir Harrison Birtwistle will be introduced in this project but also other chamber music. Birtwistle describes his writing as akin to taking a walk in a town, maybe starting at the town square, maybe never returning to this point, it still remaining however a reference point. Together with members of the theatre RambaZamba students can explore in this project their path along a certain subject, inspired by the musical walks and compositional processes of Birtwistle.
