Once a year the Berliner Philharmoniker support their academy students not only as chamber music teachers, but in teamwork as chamber music partners. This time, members of the Berliner Barock Solisten (who are all also in the Philharmonic) are holding a working phase with the scholarship holders. The umbrella term “historically informed performance” summarises important insights that arise for modern instrumentalists from taking into account historical sources and organology.

For the next generation of orchestral musicians at the Academy, this is a training building block that is not unimportant on their way to becoming professional musicians. As project leader, Raimar Orlovsky will work on a programme with his philharmonic colleagues and the scholars where the focus is on works by Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Sebastian Bach.
