Programme

The third concert in the series ALLES MÄRCHEN is devoted to Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy-tale The Nightingale. With the children’s participation, the story will be told and musically interpreted: a fairy-tale about music’s power and magic! The Chinese emperor loves the song of the nightingale. But one day he is given an artificial, gaudily bejewelled bird which, with its virtuosic tones, displaces the genuine but relatively plain nightingale in the emperor’s favour. Only after he becomes gravely ill does the emperor recall the “genuine” nightingale – and recover his health.
