Music by Birke Bertelsmeier Text after motifs of the Grimm brothers by Moritz Rinke

Chamber Music Hall
For our second family concert, a further tale by the Brothers Grimm is presented with music by the young composer Birke Bertelsmeier. Der Trommler (The drummer) raises the following questions: what happens if you actually prefer to practice drumming instead of the recorder? And it is normal to suddenly hear a mysterious voice coming from the bottom of your plate, and to see a princess appear in your soup? The best thing to do is to drum loudly and persistently until your parents fear the house is going to fall down. For then you are whisked away and find yourself all at once in a large, dark forest. What happens afterwards with the witches, and whether it is possible to save the princess held captive on a glass mountain, remains to be seen.
